2025. október 18-án iskolánk múzeumlátogatást szervezett a budapesti Szépművészeti Múzeumba. Tanulóink a Menny és Pokol házassága – William Blake és kortársai című kiállítást tekintették meg.

Tanulóink élménybeszámolója

On Saturday afternoon we visited ’The Marriage of Heaven and Hell - William Blake and his Contemporaries’ exhibition in the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest. We had a great time, the building in itself was magnificent. After we had taken a look at the hall and the entrance, we arrived at the entrance of the exhibition. We were given audio guides which gave us a lot of extra information about the paintings.

The exhibition showcased William Blake’s and his contemporaries’ pieces of art, which included paintings, drawings and poems. Blake thought that his art connected the fantasy world with reality. He even had a personal mythology, which appears in his works. His paintings are dreamlike and a little depressive but they are still very interesting and thought-provoking.

Our favorite paintings were “The Destruction of the Temple” and “The Beginning of the Deluge”. Overall, we really enjoyed our time while exploring these rooms dedicated to William Blake. His attention to detail in his paintings is truly breathtaking.
